A Savior!
Dear friends, I haul this post out and put it up again almost every year, because we usually need the reminder! I know I do! God already made your Christmas perfect with His wonderful gift. SO, stop stressing and just enjoy it! Blessings and love you to! Mae // the Danish Doll

You spent HOURS making an adorable, little lamb costume for your four year old to wear in the church play. On the way to the church, he barfed all over it. It’s OK. What matters about this season is not perfection. What matters is the Savior.You went to eight different hardware stores before you found one that had the wrench set for your father-in-law, and now your husband informs you it’s the wrong one. It doesn’t matter. You still have a Savior.
You feel embarrassed because you were so exhausted you bought the potato salad for the office party at the deli instead of making your own. Who really cares? You still have a Savior.
Your neighbor just dropped off a gift, and you didn’t buy them anything! Try to just let it go. You still have a Savior.
You never did get that last batch of cut out cookies iced. It’s OK. They taste fine without icing. You still have a Savior.
You just received a Christmas card from Bill and Dorothy, and you have no idea who they are! It doesn’t matter. You still have a Savior.
The cat just climbed to the top of the tree and managed to break that special ornament you and your husband bought on your honeymoon trip to France fifteen years ago. It’s a shame it’s gone, but you still have a Savior.
That nice new couple from church will be here in ten minutes for coffee and cake, and you just dropped the cake upside down on the floor. Oh well. They can eat those un-iced cookies instead! The important thing is, you still have a Savior.
The gift you ordered for your boss has not arrived, and today is the last day you can give it to him before the holiday break. You can still rejoice. You have a Savior.
There are plenty of things going on during the holidays that can bring stress and frustration. We need to remember that all the fuss and flurry of the season have little to do with what it is really about.
THERE IS A SAVIOR!

My head knows all this ~ wonder if there is a way to get the lists crossed off in a less stressful way sometimes. Intentions are good, but my, oh my . . . may He help us keep Him first. I'm gonna try to remember when things go "upside down" to say out loud, "It's gonna be okay ~ because we STILL have a Savior!

. I remember a lady who said that she prays by just looking at God and he just looks at her. That is the way I want to pray ,too.
I just look at my grandchild and now I know why my granny used to just look at me

What a WONDERFUL reminder! So glad you posted this again!
With everything that's happened to my health since Thanksgiving, we are only giving out stockings to the children and have decided to have the usual "Christmas Day Traditional" stuff in January or February. A little odd, I know, but the most practical for us. I want to bake cookies with the children and have time to shop (now we'll get sale stuff!!!) for the right gifts without being stressed and feeling like it has to all be done by a specific date.
