Hope
It's a terrible thing to have no hope. I have seen photos of many of the people in the death camps such as Auschwitz, and the terrible, lost expressions on their faces speaks volumes. I have attended funerals for those who did not know the Savior, and those occasions were sad indeed. When hope is abandoned, life has little meaning and no joy.Hope is a very important element for well being. Hope believes in a positive outcome. But, for many, there is no reason left to hope.
(Psalm 31:24 NLT) So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD!
I have always been so grateful for the hope in my heart. My surety in God's love for me keeps me positive and at peace. I know my future is in His hands, and I trust Him. The world is a very uncertain place, as we well know. Who can really know what tomorrow may bring? But, we need have no fear, because we have God's wonderful promises to those who are His.
(John 14:1-3 NLT) "Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in Me. There is more than enough room in My Father's home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with Me where I am.
I sometimes think of Jesus sitting with His beloved disciples and sharing these words of hope with them. The world has so many things to trouble our hearts, but we have an antidote for that! We can trust in HIM! Even though we may not understand, we have that blessed hope. We know Him, and we trust.
I just feel like there is someone out there who needs to be reminded of this today. Keep your eyes on Him, my friend. Remind yourself that while the world can be a cruel and scary place, God is GOOD. Take hope in that. He will keep you.

Yes, indeed we all need hope. It's a dark world when hope is lost! Hope your day is wonderful!
Thanks for sharing!
Good Morning, Pastor Mae. We all want and need hope and Christians have it in Christ. Some lack assurance a subjective issue, but 1 Cor. 13:13 list three great truths that we need and hope is one of them.Beautifully written.frank
Beautiful photos to go with encouragement that we all need to hear - especially when you are having a rotten, no good, horrible, bad day!
Somewhere recently, I learned that Jesus IS Hope, just as he IS Faith, and Love. So, even if I feel hopeless (which, thankfully, is a temporary emotion on my part) I know and believe that I HAVE hope because I have Jesus. I have Faith and Love and Comfort, because I have him and that is such an exhilarating truth. Especially now, as I wish I could see my mom's face smiling at me from the heavens.
I love this post! This isn't one of the times in my life I feel hopeless, but I've been there before, as we all have. This is a beautiful reminder of what Jesus has for us, not only in heaven, but here on earth!!! Thank you! ~Linda
great post..we all need hope.
Thank you, my friend, for sharing these encouraging words of hope ... I can't imagine living these days without the One who gives us that precious gift! And hope is a gift! I came up with this acronym one day ... Hope = Having Only Persistent Expectation, and I added, 'in Him'! He is our hope and no matter what trials and tribulations the future holds, I know He holds the future!
Well, this is the new 'improved' (I think) Xanga, and I wanted to stop by to see what your site looked like, and it looks like just like it did on the old site! I know you're busy with your sweet family and I hope you're having an amazingly blessed time with them all! Your new little grand daughter is so precious! Love the pictures you've shared on FB, so far! I have much to share, as I'm sure you will too, but it will wait until later ... I just wanted you to know I was thinking of you, my dear Mae! Praying you're able to get some rest midst all the busyness!
((Hugs))

Are you still here?
Thanks...I miss you!
- great post, tommy! sounds like you have been BUSY! life never stops, nor slows down when you have three kids. it's einitxcg to see how much business you are getting just by word of mouth. i'm glad to hear that noah likes school. and emilee i don't think the treatments will cause her any psychological damage. it will only make her stronger. after all, she is a Han, isn't she? and i don't think her behavior is from her treatments it's from her strong personality. something about the middle child ethan has a very strong/stubborn personality and he has aged danny and i about 10 years. he really challenges us mentally/physicallly/emotionally and keeps us on our toes. but, he's also so sweet, caring and funny. there are so many worries/conerns when raising children, but i'm thankful that we have our heavenly Father to hope and trust in. it's so easy to get caught up in the busyness of life, but i look at colin and God reminds me to just enjoy today. i'm sure that isaiah, mr. cutie pie, does the same for you guys, too.
Uh... I am not Tommy. I think you need to do some checking into who you are writing!
