Goodness! It's been ages since I posted! We have been spending time with a special guest. Very early yesterday morning we took her to the airport, and now she is back home in Malaysia. I know she enjoyed her time in Denmark, because she told me so. We enjoyed her, too. I like learning about other cultures, and seeing Denmark through a guest's eyes. Addy had never seen it snow falling, so God obliged and gave us some. We had some sunny days, too. Denmark is very, very different from Malaysia, but Addy adjusted well.
Showing our "muscle."
I had some boots that fit her, but we had to make a trip to the second hand shops so Addy could find a warm jacket. Coming from Malaysia, she had no need for one, but here.... BRRRR! My coat is HUGE because I lost 40 pounds, but I like it big because I can wear lots of layers underneath! It has gotten REALLY cold here! Today it is 25 degrees, but the dampness in the air makes it seem even colder.
Kids are already skating at the park in Borgvold. Brrrrr!
One night we drove downtown to see the sights. I love this shot of the moon over the Domkirke.
We also visited Hjarbæk fjord. One of my favorite places. We got there just before sunset.
I like the way the twilight makes everything look "soft."
I caught a few shots of the rising mist. So eery. So beautiful.
You know how I love old graveyards. We visited this one at twilight. You can just see the moon through the trees.
Twilight makes white objects almost glow. Cemetery angel. So lovely.
I am not the best at walking very far, so I usually got left on a park bench. I think this photo is funny, because my husband looks like he has been cut off at the waist! Really, he is just standing behind a hedge!
This photo was taken from my kitchen window! Breathtakingly lovely. See how much God loves me? He made this just for me!

The old girl has had another birthday, and I think this was such a lovely present from my King!
I hope things have been well with all of you, and that you in America had a lovely Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. I choose to focus on the GOOD, and to be thankful. Don't you? Now that I have more time, I am working on a devotional post, and should have it up some time this week. In the meantime, thanks for stopping by and admiring my beautiful Denmark.
Blessings!

My wife traveled to Pakistan once and that really opened her eyes about the world.

Oh, I enjoyed this post. I agree that it is good to focus on our blessings.
Beautiful!
The comment about twilight making white glow reminds me of my dream to have an "all white" flower garden for this very reason.
Thank you for being a blessing!
Thank you for sharing these beautiful things with us! :)
Happy birthday
What a gorgeous place to live.
I haven't seen Addy around for quite a while, but I remember her being very nice.
I also love that moon shot! ~ and the one of your hubby behind the hedge made me do a double-take ~
I enjoyed taking a "tour" about with you! The twilight shots are so soft and lovely.
I loved the photos, and it is very cool that you put up your friend from Malaysia!!!
Awesome pics! :)
It looks like you live in a beautiful area! I love the birthday present from the King! What a gorgeous sky! I love it when he does things like that!
Thanks for sharing, please that Addy had a good time in Denmark.
Even though I have been lucky enough to visit so many wonderful places, Denmark is on my list of places to visit one day.
@my_final_username - It really is a pretty country. Summer is best, when we get a good one with some sun, but there is a haunting beauty in the mists and rain, too.
Denmark looks lovely but cold. That's what it is here this morning but we've had a wonderful winter so far. Of course some people wish it would snow.
What a change for Addy : the snow , the cold and the magic of the twilights ,of the mist rising in the bare trees ,the beauty of the fjords.
Your guest brings with her great memories of Denmark .
3 days late I wish tou a happy birthday.
Love
Michel
Those are beautiful pictures. I am really glad that Addy got to visit you. She probably told you that we got to spend a day with her in Chicago when she was in the U.S.
